The Information Technology (IT) industry contributes greatly towards the economic development of a nation. In India, the IT industry is a core catalyst for the increase in Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employment and exports. In order to meet the growing demands, the department of Information Technology Engineering at KIT Raigarh, aims at delivering proper education that develops the students into accomplished and seasoned professionals. To enhance the quality of education in this field, our labs include everything required for a perfect learning environment. For better development of the students, internships and practical sessions with renowned IT solutions are undertaken in order to give the students, a 360 degree exposure to this field. The Department decided recently to focus major research efforts in the advance research areas and published more than 100 research papers in reputed international journals along with participating in more than 10 international conferences too

The department aim is to apply the knowledge and expertise on student by focusing on the overall development which will help them to meet the present and future requirements of the IT Industry in global world.
